Ties is the affinity value with Companions, increased by giving gifts, chatting, traveling together, and treating them to meals.
Reach thresholds to unlock tiered rewards. Personal Stories, Companion Cards. up to Awakening Skill at the highest tier.

📖 Rule to add Ties 🔗
- Gifts can be given 6 times per day combined across all companions (resets at midnight).
- Giving gifts from their favorite category = full points. First favorite item gets ×2, after that there is a chance for an additional critical boost.
- Rewards obtained from Travel, activities, and the monthly pass.
- Besides gifts: Praise/Happy Clap, Chat, and Travel Together (Co-travel) also increase Ties.
- Treating companions to their favorite food/tea also grants points ⚠️ Do not give when they are full, the points will drop to a tiny amount.
- Ranks progress from Acquaintance > Friend > Close > Deeply Bonded (condition to unlock companion awakening skills).

Gift points +16/+8/+4 confirmed by 2 sources. The +32/+24 numbers seen in some guides are for first piece/critical.
Companion favorite dishes/teas are incompletely recorded in Chinese guides. Confirmed: Wuqing likes Chongyang Flower Cake and Huawu Garden Tea, bought from the nearby merchant using Virtue Points.
The gift table is based on the Chinese version 1.2.4, which is close to the current Thai server version. Later companions are not yet in the table.
There is a "Little Animal Friends" sub-system (feeding animals at companion locations). Details not yet included on this page.
Gift icons for 21 out of 24 pieces and all 16 companion portraits are actual in-game images. The ones still showing dots are Landscape Chronicles. Treasure Sword from the West. Sword Manual Fragment, as their Confident Fist icon files could not be matched yet (putting the wrong one is worse than leaving it empty).
