The Sutra of the Whole-Body Relic Treasure Chest Seal Dhāraṇī, the Heart Secret of All Tathāgatas Part Two
Then the Bhagavān bowed to the decaying stūpa, circumambulated it three times to the right, removed his upper garment to cover it, and shed streaming tears mingled with blood, then smiled through his weeping. At that moment, all buddhas of the ten directions gazed intently, likewise shedding tears, each radiating light to illuminate the stūpa. The assembly, astonished and pale, sought to resolve their doubts. Vajrapāṇi and other bodhisattvas, tears flowing with awe-inspiring radiance blazing intensely, approached the Buddha whirling his vajra scepter, inquiring: "Bhagavān! What causes this luminous manifestation? Why does the Tathāgata-eye weep thus? Why do all ten-direction buddhas manifest this auspicious radiance? Pray expound this mystery to the assembly!"
